By combining AI capabilities with the expertise of our support ambassadors, we're creating a seamless user experience that sets a new standard for customer service. **The Difference You Will Make:** As a Staff Software Engineer on our Chatbot Product team, you'll work collaboratively with talented and diverse software engineers to create innovative user experiences for AI-driven customer service products. You'll play a significant role in shaping the technical vision and delivering flexible, efficient, and scalable solutions that power our AI Assistant. Each individual brings their unique skill set, experiences, thought leadership, and technical expertise to solve complex technical challenges. **A Typical Day:** * Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy to build high-quality products and features. * Drive, lead, and contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch. * Review code and design docs, giving feedback on product specs and mocks. * Nurture a culture of technical quality from design, through code review, to production operations. **Your Expertise:** * 9+ years of relevant software development experience in a fast-paced tech environment. * Strong expertise with backend systems in service-oriented architectures. * Experience with LLM-driven chatbot and Agentic AI products would be a significant plus. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and with teams across the engineering, product, and design organizations. * Passionate about efficiency, availability, technical quality, and system quality. * Love for collaborating via code reviews and architecture discussions, and motivated to improve teammates' productivity. * Bachelor's and/or Master's/PhD degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience. **Your Location:** This position is US-Remote Eligible, with occasional work at an blithequark office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
