Job Summary As a Customer Service/Remote Virtual Assistant in our US Healthcare team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our patients and healthcare professionals receive exceptional service and support. You'll be responsible for preparing and assembling medical record documentation, updating patient information, and performing a range of clerical duties to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow. Key Responsibilities Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physicians, ensuring accuracy and completeness Ensure medical record compliance by self-documentation attestation, and update patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient system Prepare and send all documentation to physicians for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures Monitor the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures, and notify relevant parties as needed Comply with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission Perform other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, medical records) preferred 1-2 years of experience in a medical records or customer service role, preferably in the US healthcare industry Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a remote team Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience with medical terminology and coding (e.g., ICD-10, CPT) Familiarity with HIPAA and Joint Commission regulations Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment Certification in medical records or a related field (e.g., RHIA, RMC) Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Blithequark, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills and careers.
