Job Overview We are seeking a qualified and experienced High School Science Tutor to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Science Tutor, you will play a vital role in addressing the learning loss that has resulted from the COVID pandemic. You will work with high school students in a face-to-face school setting, providing targeted support in Science to help them catch up and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Instruct Science to small groups of students in multiple grade levels, using a prescribed curriculum and the gradual release model of instruction Deliver designated instructional models to eligible students, utilizing company-designed materials and educational strategies Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans, ensuring that each student receives tailored support Supervise students at all times, including escorting them safely to and from classrooms/learning stations Perform data entry in a timely fashion to meet deadlines, including student attendance, online pre/post testing, progress reports, and parent and classroom teacher communication forms Schedule and attend parent meetings/conferences, maintaining open communication with parents and guardians Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and federal agencies Maintain consistent communication with company supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field Teaching Certificate preferred, but not required Classroom teaching, internship, and/or tutoring experience, particularly in Science Willingness and ability to teach Science to various upper grade levels Working knowledge of MS Office and Zoom/Teams preferred A passion for helping students and making a positive impact on their lives Preferred Qualifications Experience working with at-risk youth or students who are struggling Familiarity with the gradual release model of instruction and company-designed materials Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to continue learning and growing as an educator What We Offer In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $25-28 per hour, as well as a robust benefits package for full-time employees.
