Job Highlights and Responsibilities As a Home Infusion Nurse (RN) at Accredo, you will have the opportunity to work independently, making decisions and executing them for the best possible outcome for your patients. Your responsibilities will include: Traveling to patient homes to administer IV infusion medications autonomously, providing response management and follow-up care Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with patients, focusing on their overall well-being and empowering them to be at their best Collaborating with Pharmacists and Therapeutic Resource Center (TRC) to ensure patients' needs are met Documenting all interactions and communication with patients, including assessments, treatments, responses, disease progression, and more Serving as the single point of contact for regular updates on patient status, ensuring all clinicians are informed and up-to-date Using your commitment to your craft, confidence in your abilities, positive attitude, and adaptability to handle challenging situations with the support of your leader and team Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed as a Home Infusion Nurse at Accredo, you will need: A Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of residence A BSN degree, plus 2+ years of relevant RN experience; or an ASN degree, plus 5+ years of relevant RN experience; or a Nursing Diploma, plus 8+ years of relevant RN experience 1+ years of experience as a specialty RN in a critical care, acute, or home healthcare environment Strong IV insertion skills and a valid driver's license Willingness to travel within an assigned geographic area and flexibility to work Monday-Friday, day shift, as well as occasional evening or weekend patient visits as needed Ability to work alternate shifts on short notice and be on call for field visits as determined by business need Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and proficiency in using a tablet for documentation and communication Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and healthcare professionals Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility Knowledge of infusion therapy and experience with infusion equipment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Accredo, we are committed to the growth and development of our nurses.
