As a HR Expert, you will play a critical role in supporting our teams and leaders in building a sales force that is passionate about exceeding our guests' expectations. You will be responsible for providing guidance on government, state, and local work regulations, utilizing essential Office Suite computer and workforce management programs, and staying up-to-date on industry-leading people and planning software. Key Responsibilities Create a welcoming experience for our guests by genuinely welcoming them and tailoring your approach to their specific needs Engage with guests in a genuine way, including asking questions to better understand their needs and providing solutions to address their concerns Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in our stores and be prepared to address questions and concerns from our guests Thank our guests in a genuine manner and let them know that we appreciate their business Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs for every area of the business, including understanding our guests' needs and ensuring the right blend of experience, offering capabilities, and product enthusiasm to deliver the right experience Implement deliberate recruiting efforts to assist our leaders in finding and hiring talent with the right skills and experiences to best serve our guests Support the training needs of our sales force and be a champion for continuous learning Be a subject matter expert for scheduling systems and pay practices Act as a gateway by listening to our team members and collaborating with appropriate leaders to take action as needed Follow through on all HR functional and recurring programs Demonstrate a culture of moral integrity, safety, and compliance Work in a safe manner at all times to protect yourself and others, recognize and address hazards, and comply with all safety policies and best practices Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to resolve guest concerns quickly and efficiently Attention to detail and ability to follow a multi-step process Ability to handle sales register operations accurately Ability to lift and move products up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally Flexible scheduling availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment Knowledge of industry-leading people and planning software Experience with scheduling systems and pay practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to resolve guest concerns quickly and efficiently Attention to detail and ability to follow a multi-step process Ability to handle sales register operations accurately Ability to lift and move products up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally Flexible scheduling availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Target, we are committed to providing our team members with opportunities for growth and development.
