About the Role We are seeking an experienced Instructional Training Designer to join our IVL Federal Medical Insurance Learning and Execution group. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale projects and develop training programs that drive business results. This is a remote-based position that requires a strong and diverse skillset in areas such as instructional design, adult learning theory, and project management. Key Responsibilities Design and develop engaging and effective learning experiences that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and develop solutions that address those needs Develop informative objectives and create content that meets those objectives Design educational materials, such as infographics, and develop supporting materials, such as audio, video, and simulations Develop methods of evaluation, such as tests and quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of training programs Assess evaluations and provide results and recommendations for improvement Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as instructional design, education, or communications At least 2 years of experience in corporate learning program development and implementation Ability to travel up to 40% of the time Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates who have the following preferred qualifications: Project management and leadership experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Meticulous attention to detail and a quality-focused attitude Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively Experience working in a matrixed organization and collaborating with cross-functional teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Articulate, Dazzle, Vyond, and case management systems Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong instructional design skills, with the ability to design and develop engaging and effective learning experiences Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop recommendations for improvement Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits Aetna is committed to the growth and development of our employees.
