Job Overview As an IT Support Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing expert technical assistance and support to our crewmembers and clients. This is a part-time, remote position that offers a competitive hourly rate of $30. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing timely solutions to ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for all blithequark equipment and applications, including communication and mobile devices Deliver exceptional on-site and remote customer service to blithequark crewmembers Coordinate resolution of incidents/requests from start to finish with internal and external resources Monitor and support systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime Maintain and support client access, ensuring seamless connectivity and minimal downtime Collaborate with software package rollouts and support, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruptions Work with all Data Innovation (IT) disciplines to achieve first-contact resolution with all issues Maintain documentation of requests per blithequark standards, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records Update database documentation with the most critical information, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuity Coordinate response for significant incidents and outages, ensuring timely and effective resolution Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate Experience supporting latest operating systems or successful completion of IT for Everybody certificate via Coursera Experience implementing and supporting applications Availability for short-term travel (up to 50%) Possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of Jamaica and the US Ability to obtain a valid visa to travel to the US Experience using desktop arrangement packages Legally qualified to work in the country in which the position is located (note: this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship) Preferred Skills and Qualifications While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable: Certifications (Microsoft, Networking, programming languages) Knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server products Knowledge of Exchange and Office Suite Knowledge of LAN environment using TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS Knowledge of communication, messaging, and system (VOIP and POTS) Knowledge of mobile devices Knowledge of MDM solutions like Workspace ONE and Microsoft Intune Knowledge of General media solutions Crewmember Expectations As a blithequark crewmember, you will be expected to: Demonstrate regular attendance and reliability Be available to work flexible hours and respond to calls without prior notice Maintain a professional appearance at all times Assist with light cleaning of the aircraft while working or traveling on blithequark flights (if time allows) Embody the blithequark values of Safety, Caring, Honesty, Energy, and Fun Advance blithequark's #1 value of safety as a Safety Representative, supporting blithequark's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and social norms Identify safety or security concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards that should be reported and report them promptly and directly, including using blithequark's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), JEMS, or Safety Action Report (SAR)) Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our crewmembers.
