The Manufacturing Operations team at blithequark plays a critical role in delivering this state-of-the-art physical infrastructure, and we are now seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. Job Overview As a Manufacturing Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for assessing product designs and creating the processes, tools, and procedures behind our robust search technology. You will work closely with Supply Chain Managers and Design Architects to determine blithequark's infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your expertise will ensure that the various components of blithequark's infrastructure fit together seamlessly, providing a smooth and consistent user experience. This is a full-time remote opportunity, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the USA. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and manage the implementation of flexible manufacturing processes and systems for specific data center products, optimizing for cost, quality, and flexibility. Collaborate with Design, Product Management, and Operations teams to identify and address potential manufacturing roadblocks in early development stages. Analyze and interpret complex production data to drive informed manufacturing strategies, identifying and implementing solutions to improve performance and efficiency across the supply chain. Lead the evaluation, qualification, and strategic development of contract manufacturers, focusing on future capabilities and growth. Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) systems to create Bills of Materials (BOM), Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and manage Engineering Change Notices/Requests (ECN/O), leading the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team to align figure and BOM structures. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. At least 10 years of experience as a Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, or Product Designer. 6 years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). 5 years of experience in design and implementation of civil high-voltage applications in data center construction. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A graduate degree in Science or a related field. Experience driving yield improvements and process duration reductions for high-volume and high-complexity parts. Experience with LEAN manufacturing/5S/8D practices. Experience in charging data centers. Ability to influence the product electrical design and manufacturing process. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
