Key Responsibilities Teach and tutor students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method ® , terminology, and teaching practices. Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, ensuring each student receives the support they need. Assess students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions, adapting your teaching approach as necessary. Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, utilizing them to enhance student learning. Support the maintenance of a safe, professional, and welcoming learning environment that encourages students to explore and understand math concepts. Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful as a Math Instructor/Tutor at Mathnasium of Carol Stream, you should possess: A passion for math and a strong desire to work with students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively. Eagerness to learn and be trained in our proprietary Mathnasium Method ® and teaching practices. Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a strong foundation in mathematical principles and concepts. The ability to balance various ongoing tasks, prioritizing responsibilities and managing your time effectively. All applicants will be required to: Take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency. Provide work authorization. Pass a background check.
