The Role: Math Instructor/Tutor We're seeking an exceptional Math Instructor/Tutor to join our team at Mathnasium of Bayside. As a Math Instructor/Tutor, you'll play a critical role in creating an engaging and productive learning experience for our students. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, offering the perfect opportunity for individuals who are passionate about math and dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles. Engage in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value. Become proficient in the use of digital educational materials and processes, ensuring seamless delivery of our Mathnasium Method . Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery, utilizing the Mathnasium Method , terminology, and teaching practices that include individualized instruction in a group setting. Assess student progress throughout instructional sessions, collaborating with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students. Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback that supports their learning journey. Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive space for all students. Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the success of our team. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A passion for math and a proven track record of working effectively with students. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner. Exceptional math competency, with a minimum proficiency through Algebra I. The ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively. A willingness to learn and be trained in our Mathnasium Method , embracing our unique approach to math education. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued: Previous experience in teaching or tutoring math, particularly in an educational setting. A degree in mathematics, education, or a related field. Familiarity with our Mathnasium Method or similar math education programs.
