Job Summary We are looking for a bright, passionate, and dedicated professional with excellent interpersonal, mathematical, and instructional skills to create an engaging and productive learning experience for our students. As a Math Instructor/Tutor at Mathnasium of Creve Coeur, you will have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and skill levels, helping them to understand, master, and love math. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, and we are seeking instructors who are able to work throughout the year. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional instruction/tutoring services to students, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value, and communicating effectively with them about their child's progress Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices to deliver high-quality instruction Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery, using individualized instruction in a group setting to meet the unique needs of each student Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions, working collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students and identify areas for improvement Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help students achieve their full potential Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, ensuring that our center is a safe, welcoming, and productive space for all students Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of our team Essential Qualifications A passion for math and working with students, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives and academic achievement Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and principles Ability to balance various ongoing tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and growth Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students of all ages and skill levels, with a proven track record of success in teaching or tutoring math Strong knowledge of math curriculum and standards, with the ability to adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of each student Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks and responsibilities Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with a commitment to being available to work throughout the year Skills and Competencies Strong mathematical knowledge and skills, with the ability to apply mathematical concepts to real-world problems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a commitment to collaboration, mutual respect, and open communication Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a commitment to flexibility and a growth mindset Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Mathnasium of Creve Coeur, we are committed to the ongoing growth and development of our team members.
