Our services are accessible and diverse, including inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, crisis stabilization, and community outreach. **Key Responsibilities** As a Mental Health Specialist II, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients through our 988 Chat & Text services. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Assisting clients in identifying their personal recovery goals and developing objectives to achieve them * Developing and maintaining relationships with clients to recognize emotional, psychiatric, or behavioral changes that may require further intervention or treatment * Advocating for appropriate resources for clients and third parties based on assessed needs * Facilitating structured skill trainings, such as social skills, assertiveness, anger management, symptom management, and psycho-education on various mental health issues * Promptly accepting service requests, responding to incoming calls, chats, and texts within prescribed timeframes * Responding to contacts with clients or third parties in a courteous and helpful manner * Assessing service requests/referrals and responding in accordance with prescribed procedures * Assessing clients' conditions to make or authorize an appropriate disposition **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will require: * Four (4) years of full-time paid experience in an appropriate mental health or human service field or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health or human service field * Strong assessment and support skills, with the ability to recognize unique client needs * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and external agencies * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling phone requests under time and decision-making pressure * Familiarity with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's Degree in a relevant mental health or human service field * Certification in a relevant mental health or human service field (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPN, or RN) * Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors * Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and best practices in mental health care * Strong computer skills, with experience using electronic health records and other software applications **Work Environment and Culture** As a part-time Mental Health Specialist II, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a team of experienced professionals who share your passion for delivering exceptional behavioral health services.
