About the Role We are seeking an experienced Middle School Floater Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive educational environment. As a floater, you will be responsible for substituting as needed in the classroom, reporting directly to the assigned campus each day, and receiving teaching assignments for the day. If a substitute is not needed, you will assist classroom teachers in the general supervision and management of a classroom of children, or provide assistance to the principal as needed. Key Responsibilities Substitute as needed in the classroom, reporting directly to the assigned campus each day and receiving teaching assignments for the day. Assist classroom teachers in the general supervision and management of a classroom of children, or provide assistance to the principal as needed. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of students. Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs that promote student success and well-being. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in education. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field from an accredited or approved college or university. Valid teaching certification or license in the state of California. At least 2 years of experience in teaching or education, preferably in a middle school setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and positive attitude. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Education or a related field from an accredited or approved college or university. Experience in teaching STEAM-based subjects, such as science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation, with experience in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans. Experience in working with diverse student populations, including students with special needs and English language learners. Ability to speak multiple languages, with experience in working with students and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
