About the Role: Engineer II - Network Software As our Engineer II - Network Software, you'll be at the forefront of developing our Data Center Hybrid Cloud software stack. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting high-quality SDN solutions that drive innovation and efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex network problems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape the technical roadmap for our products. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable network solutions for Data Center and Hybrid Multi-Cloud environments. Collaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve complex network problems. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including storage and data engineers, developers, and cloud architects, to ensure compatibility and integration with overall system architecture. Provide technical leadership and support related to SDN, including troubleshooting and resolving system issues to ensure high availability and performance. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the security, stability, and scalability of our system architecture. Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and insight related to cloud infrastructure and best practices in network system management. Essential Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in software development, network protocols, and SDN technologies. We're looking for candidates with: Excellent coding skills and the ability to design, develop, test, and operate in a cross-functional team environment. A good understanding of Software-Defined network architectures and solutions, including network operating systems such as open-source SONiC. Familiarity with virtualization technologies and their interaction with underlying storage infrastructures. Solid knowledge of network protocols and forwarding for Switch, as well as experience with HW programming. A strong understanding of Software-defined network infrastructure for Hybrid Cloud, including public and private cloud environments. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, and GoLang. Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues before they arise. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Container Orchestration services, including Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with SDN Controllers such as ONOS SD-Fabric. Knowledge of HW abstraction layer such as Open Compute SAI and Switch/SmartNIC HW dataplane programming.
