About the Role As an Online English Teacher with Preply, you'll have the freedom to teach English online to students all over the world, on your own schedule and at your own price. You'll create engaging lesson plans, utilize Preply's integrated calendar to schedule lessons, and access training and professional development through our Tutor Academy and regular webinars. Key Responsibilities Teach English online to Preply students worldwide, tailoring your lessons to their needs and goals Create your own lesson plans or use Preply's curriculum to deliver high-quality lessons Set your availability and schedule lessons with students using Preply's integrated calendar Access training and professional development opportunities through Preply's Tutor Academy and webinars Provide comprehensive materials and resources to meet students' needs and track their progress Engage with students, be patient, responsible, and cheerful, and make a positive impact on their language learning journey Essential Qualifications To become a Preply tutor, you'll need: Proficiency in English, with a deep understanding of the language and its nuances A University degree or Certificate to teach English (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, etc.), or equivalent qualification in English language teaching Experience teaching one-on-one classes with proven results, preferably online A high-speed internet connection and a suitable workspace for teaching Energy, patience, responsibility, and a cheerful attitude to make learning English an enjoyable experience Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications and skills will enhance your application: Previous experience with online teaching platforms and tools Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt to different learning styles Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students Familiarity with Preply's platform and tools, or a willingness to learn and adapt quickly Skills and Competencies To succeed as an Online English Teacher with Preply, you'll need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and understanding to work with students of varying levels and backgrounds Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to different teaching environments and student needs A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development Technical skills to navigate Preply's platform and tools with ease Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a Preply tutor, you'll have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge.
