As an OS Build Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and stability of our daily builds of iOS and macOS, with a special focus on upcoming products. About the Role The SWE QA team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated OS Build Quality Engineer to join our fast-paced group. As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for functional testing (manual and automated) of first-party applications on watchOS, designing and implementing test plans, test cases, risk analysis, and integration testing across Apple platforms. You'll work closely with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple to identify, escalate, and communicate key build quality issues and drive resolutions on critical issues affecting build quality. Key Responsibilities Design and implement test plans, test cases, and risk analysis for watchOS applications Perform manual and automated functional testing of first-party applications on watchOS Conduct integration testing across Apple platforms to ensure seamless user experiences Identify, escalate, and communicate key build quality issues to relevant teams and stakeholders Collaborate with development teams to drive resolutions on critical issues affecting build quality Design and review tests and coverage plans in alignment with different QA teams Perform end-to-end testing of small and large-scale software features across multiple platforms Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Professional experience working in software development and testing Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend work Meticulous attention to detail and ability to investigate, debug, and triage difficult problems Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate close interaction with peers, management, development teams, and other organizations within Apple Passion for user-focused design and high-quality technology Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge: Experience with device automation Highly organized, creative, and passionate about achieving results Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively Adaptability and comfort in a dynamic environment A keen eye for quality and attention to detail What We Offer At Apple, we're committed to providing a comprehensive compensation package that reflects your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is between $92,500 and $178,600.
