Job Overview and Responsibilities In this part-time customer support role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner. Your key responsibilities will include: Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat, providing accurate and helpful information to resolve their issues Resolving customer complaints and concerns in a fair and timely manner, ensuring that their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded Providing product information and educating customers on our services and benefits, helping them to get the most out of their American Express experience Working collaboratively with other teams, such as sales and marketing, to ensure that customer needs are met and that we are providing a seamless customer experience Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our products and services, helping to drive revenue growth and increase customer loyalty Participating in training and development programs to continuously improve your skills and knowledge, ensuring that you are equipped to provide exceptional service to our customers Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as customer service, marketing, or communications Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a financial services or call center environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues in a fair and timely manner Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing your time effectively Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following preferred qualifications and skills will be highly regarded: Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively Knowledge of American Express products and services, or experience working in the financial services industry Fluency in multiple languages, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds Experience working with CRM software, such as Salesforce, and other customer service technologies Certification in customer service, such as the Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) designation Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At American Express, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
