Job Highlights Compensation: a competitive salary Position: Part Time - Data Entry and IT Support Specialist – Remote Work Opportunity with blithequark Location: Remote Start Date: Immediate openings available Company: blithequark About the Role As a Part-Time Data Entry and IT Support Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for assisting employees in all aspects of end-user computing, including software/hardware installations, updates, and general maintenance of PC desktop/laptop systems and peripherals. You will be the primary point of contact for IT clients, providing consultation on all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, and your excellent communication skills will enable you to provide top-notch support to our employees. Key Responsibilities Organizes, installs, monitors, and maintains IT clients' desktop software and hardware; supports mobile workforce Provides consultation to IT clients on all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software Responsible for end-to-end issue ownership, resolution, and communication with employees Provides on-site training to clients Resolves and closes tickets/work orders supporting end-user desktops and peripherals Answers customer service issues escalated from the Helpdesk Contributes to desktop projects (global installs/upgrades) as a project team member Remotely analyzes and resolves requests using remote tools Investigates and collaborates with other departments to assist with infrastructure-related issues Documents client interactions in incident management system, including asset management Recovers data from hard disk drives and/or performs data migration Supports remote access for virtual private network as well as remote/broadband connectivity for laptops Installs and configures local and network-based printers Performs preventive maintenance Works various shifts, weekends, able to come in on short notice, and travel as required Follows management direction, adhering to IT policy and procedure Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience/training 3 years of hands-on IT work experience supporting and resolving various PC desktop software and hardware issues Firsthand experience supporting PCs in a Windows/TCPIP environment Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: A+ certification MCSE/MCP is a plus Prior IT infrastructure experience in an airline/airport environment Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need: General knowledge of all Windows-based operating systems, including Windows 10 Knowledge of workflow and ticketing systems Understanding of VPN connectivity and ability to troubleshoot issues Ability to work independently and act in a collaborative, team-based environment Ability to lift at least 50 lbs Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
