As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching classes in basic DC & AC electricity, electrical power distribution & wiring, 3-phase motors control systems, fluid power systems, mechanical drive systems, DC power systems, test and measurement instrumentation systems, programmable logical controller interfacing and programming, and industrial robotic systems. You will also be expected to participate in program, curriculum development, and assessment activities, as well as work collaboratively with colleagues, businesses, advisory committees, and other educational partners to create unique learning opportunities. **Responsibilities** * Instruct classes in basic DC & AC electricity, electrical power distribution & wiring, 3-phase motors control systems, fluid power systems, mechanical drive systems, DC power systems, test and measurement instrumentation systems, programmable logical controller interfacing and programming, and industrial robotic systems. * Instruct all classes as an expert in the discipline using active learning approaches that both engage and facilitate student learning. * Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques. * Pursue professional development that strives to stay current in the field. * Obtain and maintain Professional-Technical Certification requirements. * Participate in program, curriculum development, and assessment activities. * Work collaboratively with colleagues, businesses, advisory committees, and other educational partners to create unique learning opportunities. * Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. * Understand and commit to the mission of blithequark. **Qualifications** * Associate degree in Manufacturing, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or closely related field and two (2) years of industry-related experience OR five (5) years of industry-related experience. * Demonstrated work experience in one of the four key areas listed below: + Industrial Three-Phase Electric Motor Control Systems Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repair + Mechanical Power Transmission Systems Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repair + Fluid (Hydraulic & Pneumatics) Power Systems Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repair + Robotic Control Systems Interfacing, Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repair **Preferred Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or closely related field. * Experience in teaching or training in a post-secondary setting. * Familiarity with industry-standard software and equipment. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. **Skills and Competencies** * Strong knowledge of mechatronics and industrial automation principles. * Excellent teaching and communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. * Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. **Work Environment and Culture** * blithequark is a smoke-free/drug-free environment. * We value collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. * We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff. * We offer a range of benefits and perks, including competitive salary, comprehensive health insurance, and opportunities for professional development. **Compensation and Benefits** * Lecture hourly rate: $85.48 * Lab hourly rate: $73.01 * Comprehensive health insurance * Opportunities for professional development * Competitive salary **How to Apply** To apply for this position, please submit the following materials: * Clark College Online Application, including names of three references * Cover letter addressing experience and qualifications for the position * Current résumé * Unofficial copy of all transcripts/certifications uploaded with the online application * Responses to the supplemental questions included in the online application **Application Deadline** This is an on-going recruitment in which applications are collected year-round.
