Job Summary and Key Responsibilities In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, processing prescriptions, and performing various administrative tasks. Your key responsibilities will include: Modeling and conveying a positive and exceptional client experience Registering sales on assigned sales register and providing clients with courteous, fair, and efficient checkout service Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including utilizing pharmacy systems to acquire patient and medication information and process prescriptions Engaging clients and patients by greeting them and offering help with products and services, resolving customer issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience Maintaining accurate records, checking in and pricing stock, and performing inventory management tasks as required Processing manual claims for third-party program prescription services, handling calls that don't require personal attention of the pharmacist, and performing other administrative duties as assigned Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: Bachelor's degree in a related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, patients, and colleagues Strong numerical abilities, including counting, measuring, and weighing prescriptions Proficiency in using pharmacy systems and technology, including data entry and inventory management software Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following preferred qualifications and skills will be considered an asset: At least six months of experience in a retail environment Previous work experience with Walgreens PTCB certification or willingness to obtain certification through our designated training program Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Walgreens, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
