Job Description As a Principal Software Development Engineer in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Group, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, and more. You'll work in a dynamic, modern agile environment with the excitement of a start-up, backed by the financial stability of a Fortune 100 company. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for complex cloud-native services Take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures within the software engineering division Define and develop software for tasks associated with developing, designing, and debugging software applications or operating systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development of OCI services Push boundaries and take calculated risks to continuously drive value to stakeholders Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Experience in cloud service development on a modern IaaS environment A natural excitement for building complex, highly distributed, and reliable cloud-native services Understanding of current technologies and trends in modern cloud-native service design Ability to think differently and push boundaries to drive innovation Strong software development skills, with expertise in languages relevant to cloud infrastructure development Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and design patterns Experience with agile development methodologies Strong collaboration and communication skills Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need: Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail Ability to work effectively in a geographically distributed team Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams Career Growth Opportunities As a Principal Software Development Engineer at Oracle, you'll have opportunities to grow your career and develop new skills.
