This is a 100% remote, full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $27 per hour, providing you with the flexibility and autonomy to work from anywhere. Job Overview In this critical role, you will be responsible for supporting key UN agencies in their mission to accelerate and scale development, reduce costs, drive efficiency, and leverage cloud technology to achieve their goals. Your expertise in cloud computing, distributed systems, and software development will be essential in helping these organizations to overcome complex technical challenges and achieve their objectives. You will be working closely with business leaders, technologists, engineers, and experts to identify and address their needs, providing guidance and support to help them navigate the latest advancements in cloud technology. Key Responsibilities Own the technical relationship with clients and serve as their trusted advisor, providing expert guidance and support to help them achieve their goals. Educate clients and partners on the latest AWS innovations and design patterns, helping them to stay ahead of the curve and leverage the latest technologies to drive business success. Engage with business leaders, technologists, engineers, and experts at UN clients to help them solve problems and gain insights using the latest advancements and techniques. Assist clients in envisioning the art of the possible, accelerating their projects, and recommending best-practice models that align with their business outcomes. Participate in and lead deep-dive education and technology design activities to create world-class, Well-Architected solutions for UN agencies and the AWS partners who work with them. Advocate on behalf of the client to drive continuous improvements to the AWS platform and influence the product roadmap. Support other members of the account team and help bid teams review technical responses to proposals. Collaborate and support broader AWS teams, Professional Services, and AWS Partners to deliver maximum value to clients. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Experience with cloud design, systems architecture, software development, infrastructure engineering, data engineering, or DevOps. An demonstrated ability to think about business, product, and technical solutions. The ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, and remote teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with business-fluent English, to be able to work with discussions in a client organization, as well as the technical foundation that enables you to easily collaborate with and provide guidance to clients working in a functional role. A passion for designing and building cloud computing systems for some of the world's most prestigious organizations, including the UN, to accelerate and scale development, reduce costs, and drive efficiency. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience architecting highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal/vertical scaling. Working knowledge of multiple technology areas, such as distributed web-scale web or mobile applications, Serverless, Big Data, analytics, AI, enterprise workloads (SAP, VMware, Windows, etc.), high-performance databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), complex networking implementations, highly secure environments, etc. Working knowledge of cloud-native architectures; AWS certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or equivalent certifications. A strong grasp of Security and Compliance principles and practices.
