Core Responsibilities and Expectations Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies that align with project goals and healthcare regulations, defining the scope, objectives, and criteria for testing activities. Test Design and Execution: Design detailed test cases and scenarios based on functional and non-functional requirements, executing various types of testing (functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and user acceptance testing). Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and implement automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage, maintaining and updating the automation framework. Compliance and Regulatory Testing: Ensure that the software complies with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), conducting validation and verification activities to meet regulatory standards. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using a defect management system, working closely with development teams to resolve issues promptly. Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to ensure the software can handle high volumes of data and concurrent users, analyzing performance test results and recommending optimizations. Security Testing: Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure data protection, collaborating with security teams to address any identified issues. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, providing clear and concise test reports and communicating test results and risks to stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry trends, continuously improving testing processes and methodologies. Mentoring and Leadership: Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on best practices, leading QA initiatives and contributing to the overall quality strategy.
