Job Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) position is located at our remote facility, where you will work on a 50-bed Mental Health Recovery Adult unit. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset, including the ability to assess patients, develop care plans, and collaborate with our clinical team. Key Responsibilities Implement patient care plans, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care Conduct physical and mental assessments of patients, identifying areas of concern and developing strategies to address these needs Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing education, support, and guidance throughout the treatment process Administer medication, monitoring patients for potential side effects and adjusting treatment plans as necessary Education and Training Requirements To be considered for this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or be willing to pursue this qualification. You must also be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State Board of Nursing in the state of employment, with a license in good standing. Additional requirements include: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification, or the ability to obtain this certification within 30 days of hire Formal training in the management of aggressive patients, or the ability to complete this training within 60 days of hire Previous psychiatric experience with children, adolescents, and adults is preferred, although not essential At the Hospital's discretion, you may be required to hold a Qualified Medical Professional (QMP) designation, which involves an annual evaluation and potential renewal Essential Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
