Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Call Center Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing professional and courteous support to our customers via phone, email, and other communication channels. You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and you will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service and product knowledge to both internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities Receive inbound and place outbound calls in accordance with a set script, providing excellent customer service and product knowledge to meet specific standards and goals. Assist the department in meeting customer service goals and service level agreements, and achieve all requirements outlined in the Call Center Department Handbook. Serve customers through a variety of methods, including in-person, phone, email, web-forms, and chat, and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service. Process orders, respond to inquiries and questions, handle complaints, troubleshoot problems, and provide information according to procedure. Provide professional customer service and product consultation during interactions with customers, peers, management, and other departments, meeting specific standards and goals. Make decisions on customer requests using established guidelines, and take accountability to follow through on all issues. Meet requirements as set by the contract, which may be subject to change, and learn and continue to reinforce current product knowledge relative to customer needs and inquiries. Utilize reference materials to assist and resolve any inquiries, and maintain the strictest confidentiality and privacy of customer and agency information. Essential Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Prior customer service experience is desired, with proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with Assistive Technology, such as JAWS and MAGIC, a plus. Bilingual capability is a plus, and the ability to type 30 words per minute is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle stressful situations, accept constructive feedback, and adapt accordingly, with a strong ability to work in partnership with others. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and proficient with internet navigation. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a call center environment, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices. Knowledge of products and services related to visual impairments, with experience working with individuals with disabilities. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
