About the Role In this Remote Customer Service/Sales Representative role, you'll be a Retention Specialist who plays a vital part in the growth of our organization. Your primary goal will be to retain customers who are considering canceling their services by providing award-winning customer experiences that increase brand loyalty and drive long-term retention. As an expert problem solver, you'll handle a high volume of incoming calls, proactively identify opportunities, and recommend tailored solutions to meet our customers' needs. Key Responsibilities Utilize customer service and sales experience to resolve customer issues and retain business Persuade and upsell customers on the value of blithequark's services, reducing frustration and displeasure Handle back-to-back calls with care, empathy, and professionalism, ensuring exceptional customer experiences Use attention to detail and active listening skills to uncover customer concerns and provide personalized solutions Leverage exceptional de-escalation skills to resolve difficult customer issues and provide multiple offers to address concerns Retain long-term business for blithequark through customer service commitments and provide the right solutions to meet customer needs Consistently improve performance and achieve goals, using proven problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve customer issues Multitask and use various tools to retain customers and make them customers for life Maintain knowledge of blithequark's policies, products, services, and systems, as well as industry trends and competitor information Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: 2+ years of experience in a sales role, with a focus on selling or saving customers 2+ years of call center customer service/sales experience High school diploma, GED, college degree, or some college experience Ability to work with numerous screens and programs open to resolve customer issues Experience in sales, customer retention, customer experience, and retaining customer loyalty Strong active listening, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret contracts and communicate terms and conditions Perform quick calculations and make informed decisions Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in a retention or sales role, with a focus on customer service and problem-solving Knowledge of the smart home security industry and competitor information Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other sales tools Strong technical skills and ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need to possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong customer service and sales skills, with a focus on retention and upselling Career Growth Opportunities At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
