Why You'll Love This Job The Customer Service Coordinator interacts with clients in a courteous, efficient, pleasant, and professional manner. As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home, providing top-notch service to our valued customers. You will be the face of American Airlines, promoting our brand and services to the traveling public, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Promote and sell air journeys to the traveling public or freight forwarders Provide assistance with passenger check-in and load acceptance Interpret authority's guidelines and requirements for domestic and international journeys or shipment shipments Meet and dispatch aircraft within set-up times Provide assistance to troubled passengers and clients Protect company properties and revenue Ensure a safe journey for all passengers and crew members Possess the physical capability and dexterity to apply motor skills to perform various job-related duties Use organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within a limited time period Be self-motivated and require minimal supervision Respond and assist during safety and emergency situations Follow internal/external regulations and procedures Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications: High school diploma or GED Read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language Bilingual language skills are required in some locations Applicable valid driver's license as required by local authorities Must satisfy FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted admission to privileges to airport security identity display areas (SIDA), if applicable Must be able to obtain airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends and holidays Must report to work on a regular and timely basis Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous customer service experience in the travel or hospitality industry Knowledge of airline operations, ticketing, and reservations Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At American Airlines, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
