Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support via phone, email, or chat channels. Your primary goal will be to deliver excellent customer service, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Providing exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded Registering and verifying customer admission to our clubs and lounges Completing all guest experience elements, including greeting customers by name, providing WIFI passwords, and offering assistance Making and confirming flight reservations, checking in premium passengers, and issuing customer tickets Tracking flights for boarding schedules, delays, or disruptions to best serve customer needs Resolving customer travel difficulties in a timely and professional manner Recording customer issues in the passenger name record (PNR) and escalating unsolved issues to the next level of customer service support as needed Carrying out club enrollment or sales operations, such as Admiral's Club or credit card subscriptions Coordinating services for customers with elite status, including Concierge Key program and Five Star service Maintaining the appearance of our lounges and clubs, engaging with business partners to ensure food and beverages are available, and supervising the activities of business partners who provide services to our clubs and lounges Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: A GED or high school diploma Fluent English language skills, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Some locations may require bilingual language capabilities Ability to pass an FAA criminal background check and obtain proper airport authorization and/or US Customs security badges if applicable Previous customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with all levels of management and the general public Self-motivated and service-oriented, with a high level of professionalism Ability to work irregular and/or long hours, including weekends and holidays Excellent organizing and administrative skills, with the ability to operate under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in the travel industry Experience with computers and software applications Strong salesmanship and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with all levels of management and the general public Ability to attend training sessions in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At American Airlines, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
