Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Remote Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls and respond to email inquiries regarding medical record requests, record status, concerns, issues, and other related matters. Research patient record information and medical records to resolve issues and provide accurate information to clients. Maintain quality and production standards as defined by client contracts and/or management determination of the need, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Manage time adequately to ensure proper turnaround for all tasks, including customer service requests, follow-up, and feedback, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Collaborate with teammates and managers to ensure that the needs of our clients are being met, and contribute to the development of process improvement initiatives to enhance our services. Communicate with clients, internal staff, vendors, and blithequark through various communication channels, including phone, fax, physical mail, and email, and respond to client requests in a timely and professional manner. Organize and release records via email, physical mail, and fax, ensuring that all records are handled confidentially and in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in customer service, medical records, or a related field. At least 1 year of experience in customer service, with a proven track record of providing exceptional service and support to clients. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, teammates, and managers via phone, email, and other communication channels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, with experience working with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn and use corporate proprietary software and/or 3rd party tools. Strong ability to multitask and demonstrate critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Experience working with HIPAA, the Release of Information process, medical records, and/or physician practice operations is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of confidentiality and privacy guidelines. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations, with experience working in a healthcare or medical records environment. Certification in customer service or a related field, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Medical Records Technician (CMRT). Experience with process improvement initiatives and quality assurance, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and excellence.
