Job Overview and Responsibilities In this critical role, you will be responsible for processing Maryland Medicaid accounts, providing information and assistance to individuals, families, and small group employees, as well as brokers seeking information, enrollment assistance, and other services related to the Maryland Health Connection (MHC). Your key responsibilities will include: Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, or other communication channels, providing accurate and timely information and assistance Utilizing the State's eligibility and enrollment portal and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to perform tasks and duties for Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) customers Assisting individuals with eligibility and enrollment for Medicaid, as well as services applications and enrollments for Qualified Health Plans on the Exchange Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring delivery of high-quality service for all Maryland consumers Working collaboratively with the Customer Support Center (CSC) team to achieve goals and objectives, and contributing to a positive and supportive team environment Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification; other combinations of education and experience will be considered Recent call center experience required, with a background in healthcare, human services, or customer service preferred Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction Proficiency in data entry and experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse and disadvantaged populations in a courteous and effective manner Preferred qualifications include: Experience working with Maryland Medicaid accounts or similar programs Knowledge of the Maryland Health Connection (MHC) and the Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) Certifications or training in customer service, healthcare, or a related field Skills and Competencies Required for Success To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and quality in work products Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, providing opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
