Job Summary As a Remote Customer Support Specialist for Property and Casualty Insurance at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our existing customers, helping them make changes to their current insurance policies from one of our 55+ insurance carrier partners. Your role will involve responding to inbound calls, processing service requests, answering questions regarding policy details, and working to retain our policyholders by actively finding solutions for customers who are at risk of cancellation. Key Responsibilities Respond to inbound calls from existing customers, providing timely and effective support and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Process service requests, such as adding or removing vehicles and drivers, adding lienholder information, sending policy documents, and other related tasks Help customers with questions they have regarding existing insurance policies, including coverages, policy benefits, and making changes to existing policies Work to retain blithequark policyholders by actively finding solutions for customers who are at risk of cancellation, providing personalized support and guidance to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure a seamless customer experience and identify opportunities for growth and improvement Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license or willingness to obtain within 60 days of starting (blithequark will pay for the license) Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers via phone, email, and other channels Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues in a timely and professional manner Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience in customer support, insurance, or a related field Knowledge of insurance products and services, including property and casualty insurance Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively Strong sales and retention skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers who speak languages other than English Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Communication skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders Customer service skills : Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide timely and effective support, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction Problem-solving skills : Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues in a timely and professional manner Technical skills : Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications Time management skills : Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work in a fast-paced environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development, both personally and professionally.
