Experienced Remote Data Analyst for Transportation Analytics Team - SQL, Tableau, and Business Operations Expertise

Job Overview As a Remote Data Analyst at blithequark, you will be responsible for working with our Transportation Analytics team to guide everyday operations and provide insights to our customers. You will have the opportunity to work with billions of data points, develop your technical skills, and make a significant impact from day one. Our ideal candidate has excellent SQL skills, creativity with a User Experience basis to create impactful Tableau Dashboards, and business operations fluency. Key Responsibilities Work with large, messy, disparate datasets and conduct ad-hoc analyses to inform critical business decisions Create ETLs or processes that pull data from multiple locations and centralize it in a single table Develop data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges Engage with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis and establish credibility Analyze stakeholder needs and partner with them to share relevant information, including partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product teams on data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks made for reporting (screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier detection) Document your processes and share your expertise with your peers, and mentor your colleagues as you become a Subject Matter Expert Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience) Creativity with a User Experience basis to create impactful Tableau Dashboards (1-2 years of experience) Business operations fluency, with the ability to understand and root cause business problems A Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations Experience with Python or other scripting languages Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc. Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
