Job Overview As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing highly performing data containers with minimal risk, changed complete ownership cost over system lifetime. Your primary focus will be on leading meetings to grasp business requirements and concept, defining logical organization of data, choosing suitable physical environment and technical structure, modeling physical organization of data, and expanding, optimizing, and tuning data designs, load, and access strategies on an ongoing basis. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring reduced cost and increased longevity of a data solution. Key Responsibilities Lead meetings to grasp business requirements and concept, and define logical organization of data Choose suitable physical environment and technical structure based on requirements and company standards Model physical organization of data to cover all requirements and performance SLAs Expand, optimize, and tune data designs, load, and access strategies on an ongoing basis to ensure reduced cost and increased longevity of a data solution Gather and document business requirements for the purpose of data design Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Applications, Infrastructure, and Security architects, to develop comprehensive solutions Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: At least 7 years of combined experience as a data professional in various roles, including data architect, data engineer, data analyst, and data QA expert A deep understanding of data engineering life cycle and awareness of different data modeling methodologies Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least two ETL tools and scripting languages (such as PERL or Python) Hands-on experience with at least two database/capacity engines of various types (e.g., Oracle RDBMs and Cassandra KVP) Experience with coding server-side processes and data pipelines Familiarity with enterprise architecture and the ability to work with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Experience with cloud-based data solutions and migration Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices Certifications in data engineering or related fields Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to helping you grow both personally and professionally.
