Job Overview We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Entry and Analysis Specialist to work remotely on a wide range of projects related to Tesla and renewable energy. As a key member of our Business Investigation group, you will play a crucial role in driving business process automations, supporting sales and service strategies, and providing actionable insights to our business leaders. Key Responsibilities • Contribute to all phases of data science projects, from interpreting complex business problems into data science issues to performing data analysis and modeling, and providing solutions to the business. • Design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines to support our mission of democratizing data and empowering a data-driven organization, collaborating with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers, and Product Managers. • Effectively communicate significant insights to all levels of the organization, with varying levels of data science understanding and backgrounds. • Collaborate closely with leadership, engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful business insights and drive business growth. • Apply various machine learning, advanced analytics, and visualization techniques to diverse datasets across the organization. Essential Qualifications • MS or 2+ years of equivalent experience in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Economics, or Engineering). • Results-oriented mindset and in-depth data science skills, with a strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and data analysis. • Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization. • Proven track record of extracting data insights and building ML models, particularly in business analysis (or related) space, with the ability to uplevel the team's ML skills in at least one significant area (e.g., forecasting, predictive modeling, descriptive analysis, or Natural Language Processing (NLP)). • Proficiency in SQL and Python, particularly in standard data science libraries and frameworks like pandas, numpy, sci-kit-learn, Tensorflow/PyTorch, PySpark, etc. • Experience with at least one visualization tool, such as Tableau, Streamlit, etc. • Expertise in data wrangling and analyzing large and complex datasets, structured or unstructured. • Ability to self-start and work independently in an unstructured environment, as well as navigate (and bring structure to) ambiguity, taking a problem from 0 to 1. • Excellent problem-framing, problem-solving, and project management skills, as well as the ability to quickly pivot in a different direction. • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with renewable energy or automotive data, particularly with Tesla projects. • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud. • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git. • Experience with data storytelling and presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders.
