About the Role As a Remote Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently transferring data from various sources to our databases, records, and files. This is a unique opportunity to work 100% remotely from the comfort of your home, utilizing your personal computer to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Transfer data from paper formats, computer records, or scanners into our databases, records, and files Enter data into appropriate fields, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Handle numerical data with precision, creating and organizing spreadsheets with large numbers Curate data directly from speech or interviews, updating databases or records with new information as it becomes available Correct and modify inaccurate files and records, ensuring data integrity Type data directly and accurately, complying with security backups and regular checks to ensure data is saved and stored properly Summarize data for standardized reports, providing valuable insights for business decision-making View and verify confidential or private customer/client information, protecting their identities and maintaining data confidentiality Verify data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation Organize paper formats, paper backups, and material source files as needed, maintaining a high level of organization Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Accurate and precise attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data insights Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Skilled knowledge in generating process documentation, with a keen eye for detail The ability to assist team members when needed, contributing to team goals and objectives Fast and accurate typing skills, with a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm The ability to speak confidently, clearly, and professionally for voice recording data A strong understanding of data confidentiality principles, with a commitment to maintaining data security Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A high school diploma, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in business, administration, or a related field Prior experience handling data entry responsibilities or equivalent experience in a related field Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel spreadsheets Knowledge of touch typing system, with the ability to type efficiently and accurately Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need to possess: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment A willingness to learn and grow with blithequark, embracing new challenges and opportunities Self-directed work habits, with the ability to work independently without supervision Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve data discrepancies and issues Career Growth Opportunities At blithequark, we're committed to fostering a culture of growth and development.
