As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will play a vital role in our operations, responsible for accurately and efficiently inputting data into our electronic systems. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless data entry, transcription, and analysis, utilizing your analytical skills to digest information and enter necessary data. Key Responsibilities Operate a data entry device to input lists, records, or other data points into an electronic format, utilizing skills in data entry, transcription, and Excel. Review and analyze data to ensure accuracy and completeness, making informed decisions about what information to enter or omit. Interact with customers, providing excellent service and support to resolve queries and issues in a professional and courteous manner. Decipher and interpret plant maps, entering data based on the information provided and determining what needs to be included or excluded. Work under immediate supervision, following instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, with the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 8 years of experience in data entry, transcription, or a related field. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field, including data entry software and systems. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review and analyze data, identify patterns and trends, and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with customers and provide support and resolution to queries and issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data entry software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment, with the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively. Knowledge of IT industry concepts and practices, including data entry, transcription, and analysis. Certification in data entry, transcription, or a related field, such as Certified Data Entry Specialist (CDES) or Certified Transcriptionist (CT). Experience working with plant maps and other technical documents, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex information.
