Key Responsibilities As a Remote Data Entry Pharmacy Technician at blithequark, you will be responsible for performing various services under remote supervision and in accordance with state and federal regulations. Your key responsibilities will include: Handling data entry, provider/patient/third party outreach, claim adjudication, prior authorizations, and other related tasks Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing prompt, professional, and friendly service to each customer Following company policies and procedures, including register performance, security issues, and confidentiality Assisting the pharmacist by receiving new written or electronic prescriptions or refill requests and verifying accurate and complete information Receiving new prescriptions from doctors’ offices, gathering necessary information, and referring medical questions to the pharmacist Accessing, inputting, and retrieving patient and prescription information into and from the computer, billing insurance, and generating labels for medications Completing required documentation for CII orders and addressing third-party rejections in a timely manner Maintaining effective communication with all staff regarding the data entry process, denied claims, and daily progress Developing courteous and professional relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers Working with the pharmacist to ensure proper Medicare DMEPOS paperwork is complete and maintaining accurate billing records Ensuring all controlled substance dispensing rules are followed, including MMEs, PDMP, and date of last fill Conducting patient, provider, and third-party outreach calls as necessary Assisting stores in completing MTMs and data collection Assisting RDOs in completing tasks as necessary for the Operations team Performing other duties as assigned Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy technician experience Extensive knowledge of Pioneer Rx Licensed Pharmacy Technician with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability to be self-motivated and work independently Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills or the ability to use resources to resolve issues Preferred qualifications include: Current national pharmacy technician certification Strong science background and knowledge of the metric system Good math skills and familiarity with pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic techniques Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Pioneer Rx and other pharmacy software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, customers, and co-workers Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and complete records Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
