We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis, working remotely from anywhere within the U.S. This role offers the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, collaborating with multiple departments, business units, stakeholders, and operational partners to manage data entry into our referral management tools and provide feedback to our electronic health record staff. Primary Responsibilities As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include: Pulling and gathering data from relevant computer and electronic systems, software applications, imaging, electronic mail, and spreadsheets Collecting data from reference manuals and online data sources, reviewing the information for accuracy and completeness, and seeking clarifications or corrections as needed Prioritizing and assigning data entry or report requests to the appropriate personnel, ensuring timely and accurate completion Manually entering and scanning relevant data using applicable systems or programs, reviewing entered data to identify errors or discrepancies, and making corrections as necessary Performing audits of submitted data entries, providing feedback to team members to ensure ongoing quality and accuracy, and facilitating corrections to incorrect data entry Reviewing system-generated reports to identify potential errors or discrepancies, generating and running reports to verify, correct, and update information, and escalating challenging data entry problems to management as needed Adhering to internal workflows, business rules, policies, and procedures, demonstrating understanding of relevant computer systems and platforms, and utilizing software applications such as Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Outlook Staying abreast of changes to workflows, policies, and procedures, educating internal team members on applicable changes, and generating reports to provide business partners with relevant information Demonstrating knowledge of applicable business departments' operations, drivers, and procedures, gathering and utilizing feedback from business partners to identify and implement changes and improvements, and recognizing and reporting system and application problems to relevant partners Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A High School diploma or GED At least 3 years of data entry experience in a corporate or business setting, managed healthcare, hospital, or insurance environment Demonstrated proficiency in data collection and entry, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field Solid data management experience, preferably within managed care, referral management, patient appointing, and/or patient administration functions Excellent data mining, analytical, and reporting skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills Physical and Mental Requirements This role requires: The ability to lift up to 20 pounds The ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and machinery The ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing The ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem-solving Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
