We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Full Time Merchandiser to join our team, working remotely and focusing on small retail stores in the Portsmouth, OH area and surrounding regions. As a Merchandiser, you will play a critical role in presenting our products in an attractive and appealing manner to consumers, thereby driving sales and growth. Job Overview and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining multiple Convenience Retail, Drug, and Value accounts by merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following all quality guidelines. This will involve filling, merchandising, and rotating products in cold vaults and on shelves according to procedures and special programs, as well as creating and distributing point of sale materials on display and shelves where permitted. Fills and merchandises coolers within outlets as well as any displays on the sales floor. Organizes and maintains back room cooler by stacking and arranging product by package and flavor, arranging the return of empty shells, damaged, and out-of-date product for driver pick-up, and disposing of any cardboard and plastic. Fosters business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities discussions. Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing. Prior customer service experience in a retail setting is highly preferred, as is the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. You should be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively and work reliably and independently with little daily supervision. High school diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates with a valid in-state driver's license, an excellent driving history, and proof of insurance policy to verify current coverage of liability and property damage. Work Environment and Culture As a Merchandiser, you will be working in a variety of environments, including but not limited to exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas which may be non-temperature controlled.
