You'll serve as an advocate, liaison, and community ambassador, promoting member education, identifying systemic barriers, and resolving access issues. If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity. **Key Responsibilities** * Act as an advocate for members, ensuring their access to quality healthcare services and resolving any systemic barriers that limit their access to care. * Establish a community presence, promoting member education and identifying opportunities to improve healthcare outcomes. * Receive and respond to member complaints and formal grievances, identifying potential access barriers and resolving them in accordance with our grievance procedure. * Investigate and resolve access and cultural sensitivity issues identified by member services staff, state staff, providers, advocacy organizations, and recipients. * Participate in local community organizations to acquire knowledge and insight regarding the special healthcare needs of members and update and revise educational materials as necessary. * Serve as the primary contact for member advocacy groups, human services agencies, and state entities. * Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent. * 3 years of customer service experience in a healthcare environment. * Medicare and/or Medicaid experience preferred. * Bilingual in Spanish preferred. * Expert-level experience in customer service, healthcare advocacy, and community engagement. **Preferred Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, social work, or public health). * Experience working with diverse populations, including underserved communities. * Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and the Affordable Care Act. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with members, providers, and community stakeholders. **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and complaints. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with members, providers, and community stakeholders. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve systemic barriers to healthcare access. * Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and the Affordable Care Act. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to investing in our employees' growth and development.
