Job Overview We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a talented and patient-focused individual to join our team as a Receptionist Patient Advocate. As a key member of our patient-facing team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences, providing administrative support, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, clinicians, and internal stakeholders. This is a full-time remote position, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, adjusted to your respective time zone. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls promptly and courteously, responding to patient inquiries and routing calls as necessary Provide exceptional patient service, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Interact with patients, clinicians, insurers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration Sort and distribute incoming mail and faxes accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations Participate in our Quality Assurance plan, contributing to continuous improvement and excellence in patient care Comply with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations, ensuring the highest standards of patient data protection and confidentiality Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent, with 6 months to 1 year of experience in a medical setting preferred Excellent organizational, communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills, with a strong focus on patient-centered care Detail-oriented, with a high level of professionalism and a ability to work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Internet and Microsoft applications, with a strong understanding of electronic health records and patient management systems A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences Physical and Lifting Requirements This role requires: Lifting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, with light work and exertion Stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing, with the use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions About Our Company Culture At Myriad Genetics, we recognize that our people are our strength, and the diverse talents they bring to our global workforce are directly linked to our success.
