Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service, greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner Operate the cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer purchases, collect payment, make change, and bag merchandise Follow company merchandise processes, including unpacking, stocking, restocking, and rotating merchandise on shelves, as well as building merchandise displays Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean the restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications: Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills Understanding of safety policies and practices Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures Basic mathematical skills Ability to perform cash register functions Ability to stock merchandise A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and previous retail experience is a plus.
