Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Seasonal Benefit Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Seasonal Benefit Customer Service Representative, you will have the rewarding opportunity to guide our client plan participants through the enrollment process and assist them in making updates to their health care and/or pension plans. You will be empowered to take the time necessary to provide the highest level of service on each contact, ensuring that our clients receive personalized support and attention to detail. Your primary responsibilities will include responding to customer inquiries via phone, chat, and message center, as well as maintaining accurate and detailed records of customer interactions. Key Responsibilities Build rapport with plan participants and respond to their inquiries in a compassionate and respectful manner, consistently meeting commitments and exceeding expectations. Customize your customer service approach to meet the diverse needs and communication styles of our clients, maintaining professionalism and diplomacy in all interactions. Safeguard confidential information, including medical, health, financial, and personal data, with sensitivity and discretion, adhering to HIPAA and Data Privacy laws, as well as company data security requirements. Translate complex health and welfare and pension terms into simple explanations and instructions that customers can understand and act upon, demonstrating a deep understanding of our clients' plans and procedures. Read and understand client plan documents and online knowledgebase tools, collecting relevant information to determine immediate requests and anticipate future needs. Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company and client procedures and guidelines, providing accurate and timely information to our clients. Maintain and document complete and accurate call and case notes in a professional manner, ensuring that all customer interactions are thoroughly recorded and easily accessible. Communicate and collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and other staff in a respectful and courteous manner, fostering a positive and supportive team environment. Regularly participate in team meetings and training sessions, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices in customer service and benefits administration. Qualifications and Requirements To succeed as a Seasonal Benefit Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and supervisors. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently. Essential Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a customer service setting. Ability to quickly assess member concerns and formulate a response or resolution, using analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a structured environment, adhering to posted work schedules and breaks, and following protocols and standards of excellence. High level of attention to detail, with the ability to organize work and manage multiple tasks and priorities. Experience using Microsoft Office, with a strong ability to juggle multiple open computer windows and answer questions while on the phone or instant messaging. Ability to work autonomously in a self-paced, self-motivated team environment, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Must be comfortable working in a virtual environment, with online training and interaction with managers and supervisors via chat. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, with a strong ability to type 30 words per minute. Experience working in a customer service-related field, with a high school degree required. Preferred Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree, with a strong foundation in business, communications, or a related field. Working knowledge of health and welfare and/or defined benefit pension plans, with experience working in a call center environment. Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to diverse client populations.
