Experienced Senior Designer – Visual Branding and Marketing Strategy Development for Starbucks Global Partnerships

About the Role We're seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join our Ability Securing Projects team, where you'll play a critical role in developing and executing innovative visual branding and marketing strategies that enhance our partner and candidate experience. As an in-house design professional within Starbucks Partner Assets (HR), you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to support a range of HR and recruitment projects, as well as collaborate with external agencies to develop creative executions. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the Starbucks brand and creating engaging resources that position us as the employer of choice. Key Responsibilities Develop design concepts that drive the progress of the Starbucks brand while adhering to global design guidelines to ensure consistency and authenticity across all channels. Own concepting, creative reviews, and overall execution of visual content assets to support all Starbucks manager brand visual design resources across marketing efforts and channels, as well as brand enablement assets. Design captivating tools, assets, and presentations with master communication design skills, connecting intuitive solutions decisively to brand and business goals. Manage the intake cycle and responsibility accurately across multiple projects and initiatives with varying deadlines, while supporting project directors in creating timelines. Provide design counsel to internal partners and external agencies, while art directing production (film, photography, sound, production design, etc.). Decipher and coordinate creative feedback to propel the work, demonstrating adaptability while effectively responding to criticism through collaboration. Stay attuned to innovative trends, easily translating discoveries into the work, developing and fortifying the Starbucks chief brand. Regularly draw associations across projects as a source of inspiration and drive effective solutions based on the end-user. Achieve established objectives while consistently adapting to changing business needs. Develop strong working relationships within Partner Assets and with cross-functional partners, positively representing the Ability Securing Projects association. Show strong ability to narrate, effectively presenting work to a wide range of audiences, while independently communicating clearly and decisively to all partners. Requirements We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Designer who possesses: Four-year college degree in Fine Arts/Visual Design/Visual Communication/Visual Representation or related creative certificate. 3+ years of experience with an innovative office or in-house creative team. Authority of design principles (color theory, composition, layout standards, and typography). Ability to create design files optimized for digital, social, media, packaging, or print. Ability to decipher latest trends, contests, and culture and apply it with a sharp eye for molding feel and detail. The job will require approximately 25% primarily scheduled regional travel. A comprehension of integrated marketing and its various components. A compelling portfolio of work with a range of innovative projects. Exceptional presentation skills. Demonstrated strength in issue analysis and creative problem-solving. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask, focus, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Macintosh and Microsoft Office programs. A high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Tumbler, and Creative Cloud. Proficiency in programs like Replicate, Outcomes, Debut Master, Opal, and Figma. Preferred Qualifications We're looking for candidates with: 3+ years of experience concepting marketing, media, and social missions, including critical concepting, movie and social ideas, storyboards, art directing photoshoots and movie shoots, art directing production, creation architects, and outside agencies. 3+ years of experience designing brand characters and creative guides. 3+ years of experience designing digital, game, as well as UX design, including art direction, representation, animation, and creating various types of digital design resources. 3+ years of experience creating systems and communication design skills. 3+ years of experience designing packaging and design systems. 3+ years of experience concepting and designing signage and design systems for in-store experiences.
