Key Responsibilities As the Senior Director of Data Architecture and Engineering at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include: Lead and Innovate: Oversee the design and development of data pipelines, solutions, and end-to-end data architecture to support our business needs, ensuring that our data systems are robust, secure, and scalable. Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a high-performing team of data engineers and architects, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the success of our data initiatives. MDM and Data Governance: Implement Master Data Management (MDM) and governance practices to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the organization, and develop policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance. Cloud Solutions: Develop and manage cloud-based data solutions, ensuring data protection and regulatory compliance, and leveraging cloud-based advancements to develop state-of-the-art data solutions. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their data needs and aligning them with our data strategy, and communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Advanced Technologies: Utilize big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka, and integrate them with cloud-based advancements to develop cutting-edge data solutions, and stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field. Technical Expertise: Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex concepts into actionable insights, and providing technical guidance and support to ensure the success of our data initiatives. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Education: A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, with a strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, and statistics. Experience: A minimum of 12 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, and a proven track record of guiding and motivating high-performing teams. Expertise: Proven experience in data strategy, architecture, and MDM implementation, with a deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security. Technical Skills: Extensive experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) and big data technologies, with a strong foundation in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Scala. Leadership: Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of guiding and motivating high-performing teams, and experience in managing and developing talent. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, and experience in presenting to executive-level stakeholders.
