Why You'll Love This Job This role is a member of the Engineering Group within the Integrated Operations Division at arenaflex. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support for the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. This job also establishes and assists in maintaining aircraft and component standards within areas of responsibility. Key Responsibilities Conducts training for Technicians in area(s) of expertise Serves as a mentor to other Engineers Serves as a team leader/coordinator over project management or issue resolution Coordinates with manufacturers and regulatory authorities, as required, and ensures that Engineering procedures are properly validated in accordance with relevant regulations and company manuals Develops customized procedures and special instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals Remains informed about daily airline operations, including field of responsibility, and reviews daily needs in accordance with aircraft/departmental objectives and management directives Analyzes aircraft/component issues that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, significant expenditures in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determines appropriate corrective actions Provides Engineering support as needed to resolve discrepant situations affecting aircraft or components to restore operational status Responds to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support operations or resolve issues Develops action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursues detailed courses of action in accordance with estimated needs Coordinates with other airline departments, as necessary, to accommodate effective and efficient implementation of engineering procedures Prepares Engineering documents to implement technical procedures by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives Maintains knowledge of current and upcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensures that all Engineering activities maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements Utilizes available resources to build levels of technical expertise and practical experience consistently, and also strives to improve communication skills, time management, and other personal attributes relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties Effectively engages with frontline colleagues and management alike Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field or related Engineering license At least 1 year of engineering experience in a related field, or 2 years of experience without a degree An A&P license Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Ability to analyze technical data and make data-driven decisions Demonstrated ability, capacity, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities Ability to prepare/deliver presentations that promote acceptance of solutions Ability to interact with internal and external customers effectively Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in a related field, such as aircraft maintenance or engineering Advanced degree in an Engineering field or related field Additional certifications or licenses, such as a FAA certification Experience with project management or team leadership Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills and knowledge of engineering principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
