We're seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Consultant to join our team on a part-time, flexible basis, working remotely from a US-based location. A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make As a Senior Health & Safety Consultant with DEKRA North America, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality consulting services to our clients, driving business growth, and promoting a culture of safety excellence. Your responsibilities will include: Providing ongoing safety services to clients, including Behavior Based Safety, Safety Culture, Risk Assessment, Safety Leadership, Training, and other activities to optimize their Safety Performance Delivering sessions at regional and national safety conferences, writing and publishing articles, and providing EHS Services to various clients Collaborating with DEKRA customer service staff, executives, and other consultants to drive mutual benefit for DEKRA and its customers Identifying new prospects and supporting business development in the sale of EHS products and services Leading and delivering high-quality client work, focusing on providing solutions and technology to client organizations Key Responsibilities To succeed in this role, you'll need to: Maintain working knowledge of DEKRA's proprietary Safety and Health products and services Provide exceptional customer service to clients using DEKRA's Safety solutions and in support of DEKRA EHS systems Oversee and perform on-site services and general usage of the Safety Management System Advise and direct clients on the appropriate tools and systems to ensure safety and compliance Ensure profitability of specific client base and customer retention Identify new business opportunities within client organizations and collaborate with internal teams to support new business generation Maintain a solid working relationship with DEKRA's customer service staff Prepare and present Safety and related material at DEKRA and other conferences Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be considered for this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree or greater in EHS or a business-related field Ten years of work experience in a related field Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification (preferred but not required) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Ability to identify the source of safety problems, apply critical thinking, and research potential solutions Professionalism and skill in verbal and written communications Ability to develop and maintain strong and genuine client relationships Personal credibility in safety and ability to work at all organizational levels at clients and within DEKRA Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as a team player Experience with organizational initiatives in safety, quality methods, or other organizational change processes/initiatives Excellent workshop facilitation, training, and presentation skills Experience managing large, complex projects Physical and Travel Considerations This role requires: Ability to work in a variety of client locations, environments, and conditions, including climbing stairs, walking long distances, and working in heat/cold conditions indoors and outdoors Ability to accommodate working various shifts as client activities are scheduled Ability to withstand the rigors of extensive travel, including domestic travel estimated up to 70% Ability to move and conduct work with full range of motion Ability to lift 25-50lbs (luggage) Extended periods of computer-based work and standing What You'll Receive for the Value You Bring We're offering a competitive compensation package, with hourly professional fees ranging from $50/hour to $75/hour, according to confirmed project work.
