As a Software Engineer (L5), you will play a crucial role in developing innovative internal solutions to enhance employee productivity and experience, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI, GenAI, and LLMs. About Netflix and the N-Tech Software Engineering Team Netflix is at the forefront of the entertainment industry, providing a vast array of TV series, films, and games to its global membership. The N-Tech Software Engineering team is dedicated to creating seamless and efficient solutions for Netflix employees, focusing on making daily activities frictionless and improving overall productivity. As a member of this team, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategy and vision for integrating AI into enterprise applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality products that save Netflix time and money. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate fully integrated solutions across build/buy that provide seamless end-to-end product experiences, leveraging AI and GenAI technologies. Influence the broad AI strategy and vision for internal enterprise applications, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders. Apply AI and GenAI responsibly to solve complex enterprise problems, enhancing productivity for the entire workforce. Design, build, and maintain infrastructure for modern integration methods between applications, third-party services, and other Netflix teams' services. Collaborate effectively with myriad teams across Netflix, communicating technical ideas persuasively and influencing team and project direction. Develop and maintain high-quality APIs for internal and external products, ensuring seamless integration with internal and third-party services. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you should possess: 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time. 2+ years of deep experience with Applied AI, GenAI, LLMs, ML, RAG, and other related technologies. Expert knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and modern design patterns, as well as data layers and cloud computing platforms like AWS and GCP. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or Java, with a strong understanding of software development principles. Demonstrable ability to lead projects and deliver end products on time, with a passion for building internal solutions and owning development of enterprise-wide applications. Extensive experience integrating internal and third-party services into solutions, with a strong understanding of API development and management. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Additionally, you may have: Experience with Node, JavaScript, React, SpringBoot, NoSQL, GraphQL, and other relevant technologies. Background in automating workflows across the enterprise, with a strong understanding of machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow. Experience in NLP or reinforcement learning, with a deep understanding of deep learning architectures and their applications.
