As a Sonography Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching courses that cover critical aspects of sonography, including the Introduction to OB/GYN Sonography. Key Responsibilities Teach DMS 104 - Introduction to OB/GYN Sonography, both online and in-person, as required by the college's scheduling needs. Prepare students for clinical practice by imparting the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed as diagnostic medical sonographers. Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement, equity, and academic excellence. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in pedagogy and maintain strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff. Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. RDMS (OB/GYN) certification, indicating your expertise in obstetric and gynecologic sonography. A minimum of 2 years (4000 hours) of clinical experience in diagnostic medical sonography. While not required, the following additional experiences and qualifications are highly considered: A Master's degree, which demonstrates a higher level of academic achievement and specialization. 2 years of teaching experience, particularly at the community college level, showing your ability to effectively educate adult learners. Bilingual skills, which can enhance your ability to communicate with a diverse student body.
