Job Summary We're looking for a talented and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our charter school-based team in San Jose, CA. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with state and federal regulations Provide high-quality, student-centered instruction that caters to diverse learning needs and abilities Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure seamless integration of services Assess student progress, adjust instruction, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and innovative strategies in special education Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social-emotional growth, academic achievement, and student empowerment Essential Qualifications: Graduate degree from a teaching program (Special Education) Current license as a Special Education Teacher in California Demonstrated experience in special education, preferably in a charter school setting Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with diverse learning populations, including students with autism, ADHD, and other special needs Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment Experience with data-driven instruction and assessment Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and social-emotional learning What We Offer At The Stepping Stones Group, we believe that our educators are the backbone of our organization.
